Everyone involved enjoyed the show, talking to people about our models, and just having fun running trains. A lot of hard work and a little bit of anxiety were well worth the payoff. I really proud of my club and the layout we showed at this event. A Norfolk & Western duo, A class and a Y6b, are being serviced in the yard before going out a coal drag. When guys from Bachmann, and Kato are impressed by your LEGO train layout, you can’t help but smile. We even had a few of the guys from the model train manufacturers at the show coming by to see our work. Our LEGO layout was possibly the biggest of any of the model train layouts at the show, and a pretty big hit with the public. And despite getting a late start on organizing for the event, we put together a very well presented train layout. Being in Pittsburgh territory, PennLUG made sure that the local train history was well represented with several Pittsburgh and Lake Erie RR models, as well as plenty of Pennsylvania RR locomotives and rolling stock. The show hosted 11 operating train layouts, as well as many model train manufactures such as Broadway Limited Imports, Scale Trains, Bowser, Lionel, MTH, Kato, and more. January 6th and 7th was the tour’s first stop of 2018, taking over the Monroeville Convention Center just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Now, with his personal Instagram, he regularly shares photos of his art-filled adventures and inspires ARMYs to explore the art world.Īlso, during BTS' semi-break from group activities, RM appeared on the Art Baselpodcast to discuss his growing personal collection, and was recently profiled by The New York Timesabout his favorite hobby. Not only have they long been inspired by art in their music and aesthetics (see: the "Blood Sweat & Tears" music video, for one), but BTS' leader, RM, has become a well-known patron of art.ĪRMYs have always known that RM has a love of art and makes it a point to stop at museums and exhibitions when the group are on tour. This isn't BTS' first foray into the world of art. Others couldn't contain their excitement and wrote in all-caps: "GUYS I JUST JIMIN’S EXHIBIT AT THE LOUVRE AND MY GOD THE ARTIST DID SUCH A GOOD JOB!!!! JIMIN IS GLORIOUS AND IS A PIECE OF ART FOR REAL." Others declared him "Art World Muse Park Jimin," and many were quick to note the irony of fans' history of claiming their favorite stars belong in museums due to their good looks, with one person saying, "People are joking about how their fav belong in a museum and here comes Jimin actually being in the Louvre." "Jimin outcharted Mona Lisa at Louvre I cannot breathe," one ARMY tweeted with a photo attached of a throng of fans viewing the portrait. Jimin's captivating portrait drew fans in both in person and online, as ARMYs marveled at the art showcased in the exhibition.
